Here's what's coming in June:

University Village Volunteer Day at Ravenna Park
June 2, 2008 from 10am to 2pm

On behalf of the Cascade Land Conservancy and the Green Seattle Partnership, we are excited to work with the employees of University Village for a volunteer day at Ravenna Park!

Volunteer Activity:
Volunteers will work with leaders of the Green Seattle Partnership to restore the habitat of this important Seattle Park. Volunteers will learn about the importance of land restoration as part of the effort of improving the health of Seattle’s Forested Parks. We will provide all volunteers with a thorough training on tool safety and instructions about the activity. Tools and gloves will be provided. If volunteers have their own gardening gloves they are welcome to bring them but we will supply all needed materials.

What to Wear:
Please dress for the weather and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty; for example clothes that you would garden in. Please wear long pants and long-sleeve shirts. Volunteers should also wear sturdy shoes. Rain gear is good to have on hand as we will work rain or shine!
